BSP MetaManager 3.8 Release

MetaManager 3.8 was released on 9/9/2011.

Here is an overview of the new features:

 

1. Support for Single Signon

2. New Tree View Options

   1. Copy and paste object
   2. Copy and paste search paths
   3. Export search paths from any number of objects
   4. Delete multiple objects (reports, outputs, schedules, etc.)
   5. Generate an FM model from a package – YES, we finally did it.  You can now recover FM models from a package right through MM!

3. Object Editor

   1. Advanced feature lets you see any associated property of an object
   2. New XML tab lets you replicate properties by using the correct XML Syntax
   3. Improvements in the XPath capabilities

4. Report Search

   1. Find any object within the content store
   2. Select objects from within a package to search

5. Backup / Restore / Deploy

   1. New Backup Security Only Mode 

6. Content Store Documenter

   1. Document data sources being used by a package
   2. Watch the latest BSP Software Podcast for a detailed use case on how to find out which datasources in your environment are NOT being used by any package.

7. Prompt Editor

   1. Set / Replicate default prompt values to other reports
   2. Change Default prompt values in any number of reports
   3. Remove any default prompt value(s) from reports

8. Integrated Security

   1. You can now secure your MetaManager modules right from within Cognos Administration.
